i_o shares debut music video for ‘Ghost In The Machine’

As one of mau5trap‘s brightest early stars, i_o is celebrating the success of his recent House of God EP. Equipped with cyber techno tunes that glean vehemently aggressive and hard-hitting at times, and beautifully dark, uplifting, and fantastical at others, the young producer has developed a sound stamp that is starkly all his own. The young techno maestro has experienced so much success right out of the gate, he’s already embarked on his own headlining EP tour by the same name.

While knee deep in the busy touring life, i_o has uncovered his first-ever official music video for one of his new EP singles, “Ghost in the Machine.” Directed and edited by Deadmau5 and mau5trap’s content director Leah Sems, the video’s cinematography is dark and yet starkly colorful by the faint hue of red and green neon signs against a blue-tinged video aesthetic. The story is told completely through the neon signs, so place close attention to the words in frame. It’s an eerily relatable story of love, drugs, and techno as i_o and his on-camera love interest take a journey into the abyss, coming out on the other side barely unscathed.

In addition to his House of God EP tour, i_o will set out in support of deadmau5’s Cube v3 tour throughout September, including a string of dates at iconic venues like the Hollywood Palladium and Red Rocks Amphitheater. See a full list of dates below.
