Stream GRiZ’s heavy, silky-smooth Deadbeats Radio guest mix

The one and only, GRiZ, has just released his Bangers[2].Zip EP on Zeds Dead’s imprint, Deadbeats Records. The 3-track EP was massively successful right out of the gate with GRiZ taking to Twitter to thank his fans for half a million streams in a week. The release also marked ten years of GRiZ music, with seven albums, two mixtapes, and two EPs making up a pretty sizable catalogue from the Detroit-to-Boulder transplant.

In light of so many new milestones for GRiZ, the producer took to Deadbeats Radio for a very special guest mix that already generating tons of buzz. GRiZ comes into the mix at its halfway point, around minute 29, kicking off his guest spot with a comical intro before turning into high gear. GRiZ has definitely been turning back to his heavier side as of late, ever since the release of his Bangers EPs. But that is not to suggest that there are no signs of life for future funk in his mix spot. GRiZ has become an absolute master of combining electro-funk with the most face-crunching heavy dubstep drops, as evidenced on episode #113.

GRiZ will be headlining his “very last” Red Rocks show this weekend, August 30-31, where he will be playing a throwback set from his 2010-2017 catalogue on night one, followed by a Ride Waves set with the live band on night two. Tickets are available here.
