UZ releases ‘Bang Bang’ off forthcoming third studio album [WATCH]
Trap music legend and Quality Goods Records boss UZ has been staying busy. Through curating a huge selection of music, releasing his own, and dropping a second volume of Splice samples for producers, he has stayed consistent with his musical expression and his branding. That level of continued dominance continues from UZ’s 2018 album, Rebirth, all the way into the release of his most recent single, “Bang Bang.”
UZ’s distinct style is in full effect on the track, featuring the same booming 808 bass, haunting synthesizers, and punched-in, pitched-down rap a cappellas that fans have come to know and love from the producer. An acclaimed turntablist, the song also features the masked producer scratching on a song for the first time.
The new tune also comes paired with an official music video release. The simple but trippy music video shows a night in UZ’s eyes, from waking up to playing a show and having a psychedelic experience in a dark city. “Bang Bang” follows the release of “Awakening,” featuring Hucci, released in June. The two tracks are expected to be on his forthcoming third studio album, which hasn’t yet been assigned a release date.
