Dillon Francis enlists TV Noise & Big Freedia on energetic dancefloor heater, ‘Bawdy’
LA-based superproducer Dillon Francis is back with a vengeance. Known for his wildly energetic sets, rowdy sense of humor, and visionary use of a variety of styles, the IDGAFOS label head has amassed an enormous following over the years. He is considered one of the dance music pioneers for inserting the bouncy moombahton/moombahcore sound into electronic, and his new track “Bawdy” is another exercise in trying on that style of music.
Out now on Mad Decent, “Bawdy” is defined as “humorously indecent,” which is a fairly accurate description of Dillon Francis’ public persona. The tune itself seems designed as a party anthem and dance floor packer, and it will be no surprise to soon see the track lighting up festival stages and club halls in that regard. Big Freedia urges listeners to shake and move while Dillon Francis’ sirens, screeching synths, and energetic drum work make it hard not to.
