GRiZ releases ‘Bangers[3].Zip’ EP ahead of season two tour kick-off

Since the release of Ride Waves and two new EPs in his Bangers series, GRiZ has released two dozen tracks this year. Now the future funk pioneer adds three more to his resumé with the release of his dub-inspired EP, Bangers[3].zip. The third installment follows this summer’s massive response to his Bangers[2].zip EP on Deadbeats, featuring the fan-favorite Subtronics collab, “Griztronics.”

Teased earlier this week, the newest three-track collection comes with an upbeat electro-forward feel to it. Packed with GRiZ’s signature brass, guitar licks, and punchy drops, Bangers[3].zip is a surefire home run. From the heavy dose of wobble and bounce on the Kayla Jasmine-assisted “I Like That,” to the guitar-forward “supadupakulavibe” featuring GRiZ’s own anthemic pitch-shifted vocals, to the electro-swing-laden brassy tune, “Now Til Infinity,” the entire EP is a nostalgic a call to the dancefloor. GRiZ fuels his bass-meets-brass sound with heavy doses of fun. The result is three high-energy singles that are sure to be fall tour favorites.

“As we get ready to head out on tour next week, I wanted to give you guys these tunes that have been my secret weapons all summer long. I hope you fall in love with them, and I can’t wait to share their energy with you in person <3 you’ve really gotta be there to feel it,” reveals GRiZ in a press release.

Aptly timed to the kick-off of Season Two on his Ride Waves tour, GRiZ will take all three Bangers EPs across the US starting next week. Having just performed two epic back-to-back sold-out sets at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, fans are highly-anticipating the unmissable live production that GRiZ shows are known to bring.
