Diplo shares gritty tech-house remix of Kaskade & Felix Cartal’s ‘More’

Between his recently launched imprint and an already-released remix of Kaskade’s “Give Dem,” Diplo is finding himself neck-deep in house music lately. Now the jack-of-all-trades superproducer finds himself enamored with another Kaskade track as he puts a gritty tech house spin on “More.” The track, which arrived on Kaskade’s Redux 003 EP earlier this year, is a collaboration with Felix Cartal, also featuring the vocals of Jenn Blosil.

When Diplo puts his hand on the four-on-the-floor single, he strips the original melodies almost entirely in favor of chopped-up, pitched-down vocals. The remixed track is a barely recognizable counterpart insofar as Diplo removes the original’s sentimental feel, catchy lyrics, and progressive tones. In its place, the Mad Decent/High Ground label head opts for grittier darkness and higher tempo action that makes for warehouse ready action.

Diplo’s remix of “More” is expected out on Kaskade’s forthcoming Redux 003 Delux EP, which is expected out in early October on Arkade Records.
