AC Slater returns with moody second study album, ‘Hi8’
AC Slater has returned with his first new album since 2017. The new bass house LP, Hi8, is full of diverse tracks that will bring the listener right into the club. Previous singles “Laid Off” and “Final Fantasy” can be found on this 12-track release.
The Night Bass boss kicks the album off with an intro that pays homage to everyone that makes this industry possible. AC Slater shows his love and dedication to the industry in this heart-warming introduction:
“This one goes out to the originators, the innovators, the outsiders that come before us. The DJs, producers, the MCs, record labels, promoters, and the fans. Deeply honored to be involved and cemented in a scene that is rising and growing with positivity. This is for you. Pay homage to the greats, the icons, the pioneers, for the ones who gave us inspiration and energy. Transcending into this culture that we love. I am telling you, believe in yourself because nobody does it for you. This is for the early mornings and the late nights. This is Hi8.”
On this new project, AC Slater pairs deep house beats with spoken vocals and infectious melodies. In addition to his own incredible production, he has teamed up with several artists such as Chris Lorenzo, Kaleena Zanders, Jay Robinson, and many more to round out the album’s creative energy.
