Maddy O’Neal partners with HU:MAN on electrifying single, ‘Take It Slow’

For anyone who remembers the Pretty Lights episodic touring days, Maddy O’Neal is one name that has been on the mind since 2017. Hailing from Denver, the self-taught producer has carved out a niche in the always-changing electronic landscape through her signature melodic overtones, gripping bass lines, and jazzy hip-hop feel. Hers is a sound that sets itself apart just based on her rock n’ roll family roots and growing appetite for old-school hip-hop.

Now she’s linked up with indie electronic trio HU:MAN on an electrifying collaboration that is bold, gratifying, and mesmerizing on every level. The artistic cohort has linked up with Westwood Recordings on a track that features futuristic indie-pop chords, effervescent vocals, and synthy, bass-filled breakdowns. Clocking in at almost four and a half minutes, the track’s energy is truly a multi-genre journey.

‘Take It Slow’ is truly a blending of genres, the lyrics combined with Torii Wolf’s almost hauntingly raw voice gave this song a whole other dimension. It was great to work with Torii’s project HU:MAN on this one, i found her music on Instagram years ago and i knew we had to work together,” says O’Neal of the number.

“Take It Slow” is building anticipation for O’Neal’s forthcoming EP, which does not yet have it’s release date. Stay tuned for more info.
