Lane 8 releases fourth single off new album, ‘The Gift’

Beloved American music DJ/producer, Lane 8, who runs around his Bay Area stomping grounds as Daniel Goldstein, has just released the most recent track off his forthcoming album, Brightest Lights. Thus far, Goldstein has released three tracks off the album. First was the POLIÇA-assisted title track, “Brightest Lights,” followed by “Sunday Song” and “Don’t Let Me Go,” featuring Arctic Lake.

“The Gift” comes as the fourth track from Lane 8’s highly-anticipated album, which is set to land in early January on This Never Happened. Lane 8 has built quite a reputation for himself with his indie label, which has helped him break outside of the identity and incredible house music repertoire he developed on Anjunadeep.

“The Gift” plays out quite differently than his previously released single. Whereas “Don’t Let Me Go” featuring soft textures and chill tones, this energetic progressive house track boasts a groovy, upbeat rhythm, a light, funky aura, and blissful, entrancing progressions. The synthesized vocals are beautifully layered over it all, with Lane 8 showing he knows how to have fun and play around. The result is a fun and unexpected number that feels euphoric and uplifting.
