For fans of RÜFÜS DU SOL, experiencing the magic and energy of their live shows is a bit like a spiritual awakening. Now the Australian indietronca rockers have revealed how these pieces come together on stage. In a new mini-documentary, DJ Mag came to their Alexandra Palace show in London and asked them to break down how they play live.
The 16-minute mini-doc, captured moments before their live show, features drummer and band founder James Hunt giving the rundown on the drum pad. Singer-keyboardist Tyrone Lindqvist then runs through the synth pedals, electric guitar, and MIDI keyboards. Finally, keyboardist-percussionist Jon George giving a brief tutorial on how he runs the chaos pad, the dream sequencer loop pedal, the Red Panda sound mixer, and more.
This is one video that avid fans and aspiring producers alike will absolutely latch onto. As RÜFÜS DU SOL says in the post below, “Check it out if you like gear-porn or want to see how we put the show together.”
