Sullivan King releases long awaited remix of Kayzo’s ‘Alone’
Kayzo (Hayden Capuozzo) and Sullivan King (Keaton Prescott) are two name that need no introduction. The two have been building their respective electronic/hard rock crossover sound stamps for years now. They’ve even collaborated a few times on heavy bass tracks like “Till We Die” and the unreleased track, “Domination,” which the pair delivered to a roaring Lost Lands crowd this past year. Not to mention, their unreleased remix of My Chemical Romance’s “Helena” has been rocking dance music crowds recently.
At the start of 2020, Prescott announced that he would be tackling a remix of Kayzo’s “Alone.” Now, after dropping the remix in sets for months, the cat is out of the bag on Sullivan King’s biggest remix of the year.
“I’ve known Hayden for as long as I’ve been in music and having seen what he’s done for our style of music and how he’s helped bring it beyond the EDM vein and into a more mainstream light is so awesome,” said Prescott. “He and I both come from the same background of music and that’s why I’ve personally had such a connection with his music and sound.”
“Alone” is the leading track from Kayzo’s sophomore album, Unleashed. The Welcome Records label head enlisted post-hardcore band, Our Last Night, to lay down vocals on the original. Prescott’s rendition still allows their vocals to shine, but he virtually strips the melodic instrumentals and replaces them with his signature guitar riffs and metal-inspired screams.
