Liquid Stranger excavates the heavier terrain of left-field bass on highly-anticipated ‘Ascension’ EP [STREAM]

The time has finally come for Liquid Stranger to unleash his Ascension EP onto the Wakaan family masses. The 6-track drip is exactly that — a bass music menagerie dripping with powerful low ends, immersive landscapes, left-field textures, wompy wubs, and plenty of brand new frequencies the likes of which fans have never heard before. The highly-anticipated project arrives in the midst of Liquid Stranger’s ensuing tour by the same name.

In the deep roster of all-stars on Wakaan Records, the heralded label boss has plucked his brightest and finest collaborators on Ascension. From the scattered synths and spacey crescendos on LUZCID‘s “The Hammer,” to the sci-fi landscapes on the Hydraulix-assisted track, “Laser Burn,” and the surprising riddim elements on LSDREAM‘s co-offering, “Sunken Technology,” Ascension constructs a highly digitalized universe whose intention is to catapult listeners into the stratosphere. At the same time, one cannot help but feel grounded by its expert exploration of the low end.

This interstellar listening experience is an ode to the very fabric that makes up Wakaan’s rapidly expanding influence. Ascension is more than a careening sonic journey intelligently designed for the people. The entire project showcases Liquid Stranger like we’ve never heard him, and yet how we’ve always known him. A trailblazer, a tastemaker, and a savant, Liquid Stranger never ceases to change the very same game he is spearheading. Welcome to the weird and wonderful world of Wakaan.

Liquid Stranger is currently making his along the Ascension tour, with dates running until early April. True to form, Wakaan fans can expect a righteous polarity in energy that shifts between explosiveness and more mellowed out cadences. Tickets for remaining show dates are available now on his website.
