Black Tiger Sex Machine and ATLiens link on powerful bass record, ‘Frequencies’

Decimate, demolish, destroy. Those are the three words that Black Tiger Sex Machine (BTSM) and heavy bass newcomers ATLiens must have had on their minds when building “Frequencies.” As the second track of 2020 to be released from BTSM’s Kannibalen Records, following their dark Blanke collaboration last month, “Frequencies” is one more piece of the puzzle that reveals what the Kannibalen helmers may be up to. Not only is the song BTSM’s third track deliverance in three months, it’s showcasing their ability to spot and work with swift rising talents in the bass world.

The veteran electro-trio and Atlanta-based extra-terrestrials come full force with the apocalyptic energy, with foreboding elements taking the reigns. Equipped with ominous tones, a haunting choir chorus, bomb-ticking builds, and heavy, halftime drops, “Frequencies” feels like it should be on American Horror Story: Apocalypse as Satan is coming back to claim earth. Despite being the lead artists on the track, it’s clear that BTSM has allowed the ATLiens boys to take the lead on the song’s sci-fi direction and general vibe.

BTSM has also recently embarked on their massive Futuristic Thriller tour, a cinematic experience that will hit 42 cities until April 11. Coupled with the perfectly timed releases while out on the road, this can only mean one thing: Black Tiger Sex Machine is preparing to release a new project while out on tour. It’s a deduction that BTSM is doing an amazing job at keeping under wraps, but fans are expecting something big any day now.
