AMTRAC and Alex Metric come together on light-hearted single, ‘So Afraid’

Amtrac has long been a sonic chameleon on stage and in the studio. Since his debut album in 2011, he’s been jumping from indie jams to deep house to everything in between. His latest single, “So Afraid,” is the next piece in the puzzle leading up to Amtrac’s sophomore album, Oddyssey, which is slated for release on April 3 via Openers/RCA Records.

The single taps Grammy Award-winning British musician Alex Metric for a track that feels vibrant, ascendent, and overcome by resilience. “So Afraid” is also the fourth LP teaser to Amtrac’s swiftly approaching full-length, behind “Between The Lines,” which landed in the latter part of 2019, along with “Radical” with Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, and “Accountable,” released after the new year.
