Stream TOKiMONSTA’s stunning fourth studio album, ‘Oasis Nocturno’

TOKiMONSTA (real name Jennifer Lee) is widely known for her groovy, genre-bending line of dance music. The Korean-American producer is equally known for her inspiring comeback story after battling with a rare brain disease. After a full recovery, and subsequent release of her the Grammy-nominated album, Lune Rouge, TOKiMONSTA is back again with her fourth studio album, Oasis Nocturno.

“The creation of this album got me through a lot of hard times,” said Lee over Twitter. “I know we’re all going through it all right now together, and I really hope this album is there for you guys and…you can be taken away into a wonderful, magical place.”

This release has been highly anticipated as the follow up to such a pivotal moment in Lee’s career. Her evolution as an artist could have easily peaked, but instead Lee is showing the world that her drive and talent are here for the long haul. Oasis Nocturno, which translates from Spanish as “Midnight Oasis,” is a stunning, groovy, and rhythmic collection that shows off her piano background as well.

The 12-track album features collaborations from skilled artists such as EARTHGANG, Jean Deaux, and Dumbfoundead, among others, with plenty of all-original solo tracks from Lee herself. Clocking in at 45 minutes, TOKiMONSTA paints a story with her subtle, moving beats and accompanying vocals. Listeners can expect a full range of sounds; from soothing, melodic songs such as “Love That Never,” “For My Eternal, Oh Dream My Treasure,” and “To be Remote;” to the hip hop inspired “Fried for the Night” and “Come and Go;” to sexy and upbeat dance tunes such as “Get Me Some” and “Renter’s Anthem.”

TOKiMONSTA has long been known for her love of showcasing beats, and Oasis Nocturno is no exception. She flourishes through her music, making space for both herself and her vocalists to capture attention. This album rounds out her discography beautifully, securing her position again as one of the top female producers on the scene.

This album will have an accompanying tour, currently scheduled to begin in April, with details to be released at a later date.
