Cirez D returns to Mouseville with two-track EP, ‘Valborg/The Raid’
Some time has elapsed since Cirez D has graced the darker tech scene with his presence. As the side project of Eric Prydz, his industrial-tinged tunes haven’t seen the light of day since last year’s Seismic Dance Event down in Austin, Texas. He was supposed to play Ultra’s return to Bayfront this year at the Carl Cox Resistance stage before it became one of the first 2020 events to be canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fans have waited even longer for new music from Prydz’s alias—2018 to be exact with Cirez D’s 3-track Dare You EP.
In lieu of the global quarantine, however, the time has come for new Cirez D music with a new two-track EP, Valborg/The Raid. To be sure, the Prydz diehards have felt these vibrations live over the years considering Adam Beyer and Cirez D had been touring under their b2b project at Creamfields and over exclusive stateside tour stops in 2019. Released under his very own Mouseville Records, “Valborg” arrives as the previously known, elusive Tomorrowland 2019 ID that captured crowds in Belgium last year. Also listen to EP’s B-side, “The Raid,” formerly known as the Lollapalooza 2019 ID, below.
Prydz has opted for a Beatport exclusive for one week, meaning that the tunes will hit Spotify and other DSPs on May 29. Purchase the full release now exclusively through Beatport here.
