This month, CE‘s founder and podcast radio host both got the chance to chat with Daytona-based underground bass music artist, Aplsoz. Aplsoz is the stage name used by Cody Bonebrake, who recently relocated from his hometown of Kansas City to join South Florida’s thriving underground bass scene, which has become a hotspot for cutting-edge bass the nation over. This young maestro of energy has created a unique flavor of sound that he’s coined “Ultra-Captivationalism” — an ever-evolving style of immersive and enormous bass music that combines influences anywhere from Pantera to The Beastie Boys.
This podcast, we learn about the inner workings of Aplsoz’s mind as he talks about everything from art, metaphysics, and his personal struggles due to a recent medical diagnosis. We’re also incredibly lucky to announce that this episode provides an exclusive peek into Aplsoz’s new four-part story-rich Sonic Storyline Saga, which fuses audio, visual, and narrative dimensions into a beautifully heavy chapter in Bonebrake’s life.
