ZHU gives Tinashe and Ms Banks’ ‘Die a Little Bit’ a late-night tune-up

Back in mid-May, ZHU unveiled his sultry collaboration with Tinashe, “Only.” The record spanned the spectrum from loneliness to connection, quiet to frenzy, and darkness to light. Now ZHU find himself coming back to the R&B superstar and he is opting for a more upbeat, dance-worthy approach to his flip of Tinashe and Ms Banks’ “Die A Little Bit.” He released the song in the wee hours of the morning and its rather fitting as the cut resembles a bit of a late-night drive itself.

Adding on to the song’s original version, which features British rapper Ms. Banks and presents a dark house track that promotes nighttime fun in an elevated state, ZHU’s take brings a bit more rhythm to the forefront. With ZHU’s signature production flare driving over a steady bass line, the producer opens up more rhythm and space for Tinashe and Ms Banks’ vocals to shine while keeping the originally largely intact.

ZHU’s “Die A Little Bit” remix also marks the second remix to arrive from Tinashe’s fourth studio album, Songs For You.
