Shadient releases three-track ‘Infinite Structure’ EP via GUD VIBRATIONS
On the forefront of experimental bass music lies Shadient, the 21-year-old has long been pushing boundaries in the electronic world. Although the London-based future artist has been producing for over 10 years, it wasn’t until his debut EP release with 2017’s winter=reality that dance music fans began to take notice of his sound. Along the way, has garnered the support of Porter Robinson, REZZ, Madeon, and RL Grime, to name a few luminaries who taken to his musical stamp.
After releasing “Miles Of Mind” with fcknsyd and “Fade” most recently, Shadient now rounds out his Infinite Structure EP. The three-track project, which is out now on SLANDER and NGHTMRE’s GUD VIBRATIONS, is a concise take on where Shadient has been sonically and what has shaped his future-forward experimental bass stamp as of late. “I want you to understand [the EP] is a bridge to what’s to come from me. I do truly hope you like it,” Shadient said upon revealing the full tracklist earlier this week.
From the moody melodic interludes, twisting buildups, and relentless drops on “Miles Of Mind,” to the shimmering synths, the haunting vocals, and futuristic sound design on “Fade,” and the heavy experimental trap stylings on “Erode,” the EP is a survey of Shadient’s diversity and strength. At times elegant and melodic, and others moody and torrential, the beauty in Shadient’s music prevails in his variation and commitment to honesty, emotion, and technicality.
