Elon Musk shares new Tesla Giga Berlin design, hints at indoor/outdoor rave space
Always a friend to the electronic dance community, Elon Musk isn’t always work-and-no-play. Between releasing a progressive house track just for fun, to hyping up Fisher, and announcing he was considering turning Tesla’s Giga Berlin factory into a “mega rave rave,” the Tesla CEO always has something up his sleeve to insight talk in the EDM Twittersphere. As it turns out, he is still entertaining the “rave cave,” which 90 percent of Twitter voted yes on. True democracy in action.
Tesla should have a mega rave cave under the Berlin Gigafatory

Recently, Musk gave the entire internet a first look at the new Tesla Gigafactory in Berlin, and the design certainly something to rave about. All double entendre aside, Giga Berlin will become Tesla’s first full vehicle factory in Europe once the building is completed. It’s been a rather bumpy road for the EDM-loving CEO since Tesla first announced plans for the Berlin Gigafactory back in November 2019. After breaking ground in June 2020, Tesla has had to battle local environmentalists and government regulators—all in the midst of a global pandemic.

The electric automaker is planning to start production at the new plant in July 2021, giving Elon Musk exactly one year to hold true to his promise for the European EDM community. If nothing else, it’s plenty of time to compile a playlist of dancefloor anthems for Musk’s headlining set during the factory’s soft opening party. The ground has officially been broken and all bets are on.
