FKJ beautifully re-imagines Little Dragon’s ‘Water’

After releasing his re-imagination of Galimatias and Bas‘ seductive joint effort, “Risk,” back in May, FKJ (French Kiwi Juice) is back two months later for more remixing action. Now the Ylang Ylang artist has taken on Little Dragon‘s “Water” in a beautiful new double-take. The track is actually the outro to Little Dragon’s latest studio album, New Me, Same Us, and what FKJ has done is given it the perfect summer tune-up.

Chocked with plenty of heavenly elements that take listeners into FKJ’s smooth, sultry world of chill-hop, jazz, and improvisational R&B sound, the one-man-show leaves the band’s lead singer’s dream-pop vocals perfectly in-tact. All the while, the remix takes listeners on a classic FKJ ride up into a cloudy, light-hearted landscape. The track feels a bit like daydreaming on the one hand, and, on the other, like floating through time and space without a care in the world.
