Lemon Blue teams up with Onyay Pheori for ethereal single and remix EP, ‘Morning Station’

Eclectic Los Angeles based electronic producer Lemon Blue (real name Trevor Coulter) joins forces with vocalist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Onyay Pheori on a hauntingly beautiful and euphoric inducing single. Out today via house and techno label Dreaming Awake Records, “Morning Station” is a dynamic and captivating single accompanied by four innovative remixes from Matan Caspi, Pole Folder, Griffin Paisley, and Forever & Ever (side project of Treavor Moontribe, Desert Dwellers).

The original record fuses deep melodic electronic elements with organic textures including Lemon Blue’s dexterous guitar and Onyay’s ethereal vocals to evoke a nostalgic-reaching tone. Onyay’s emotive vocals are perfectly complemented by Lemon Blue’s brilliant production to powerfully recreate that moment, a couple of months after a heart-wrenching break-up where you restlessly lay in bed missing your lost love. “The song touches into the tender places of the heart, offering release of that which is no longer ours,” says Trevor Coulter in a press release.

The writing of this song was a journey through the swell of beautiful and melancholic emotions tied to a love lost,” continues Coulter. “What began as a few simple chords played out on a Fender Rhodes quickly called on the support of synth textures and found sound percussion to set the pace for vocalist Onyay to weave her heartfelt story.”

The four remixes each offer a unique perspective of the original, breathing new life into the track, soothing broken hearts and inspiring a deeper understanding around the concept of love. Renowned producer Matan Caspi’s “Morning Station” remix shines as he delivers a sophisticated progressive house single chock-full of cosmic groove. The release of the EP is also accompanied by a music video which features Lemon Blue and Onyay Pheori performing “Morning Station” live.
