AC Slater, Dombresky, Holly, & more contribute to TOKiMONSTA’s ‘Oasis Nocturno (Remixed)’
Hot off the heels of her feature in the indie female artist documentary, Underplayed, TOKiMONSTA has wrangled together a gaggle of dance music artists on her new remix package. Featuring 20 artists from across the spectrum, newcomers and seasoned vets alike have come together to remix her 2020 album, Oasis Nocturno.
On “Get Me Some,” TOKiMONSTA tapped five remixers for the tune. AC Slater‘s brings a stunning Night Bass tune-up, Noisia’s Thys delivers a bombastic bass-bolstered version, while Soul Clap ushers in some chill disco house vibes to the track. The same goes for “Come and Go,” with Dombresky giving the track an energizing house facelift, a tech-inducing Damian Lazarus “Re-Shape,” and Ivy Lab’s Halogenix lacing the track with some serious soul and drum-n-bass dynamics.
Other standouts include Holly‘s remix of “Fried for the Night,” which brings hip-hop and heavy bass to the forefront, and Ardalan‘s “Higher Hopes” remix, which bring pulsating industrial beat work and spacey beats to the table. Don’t rule out Lunice‘s remix either, who takes “For My Eternal, Oh Dream My Treasure” into a highly experimental direction that fully delivers the left-field weirdness. There are just so many great offerings, one can’t even list them all here. Be sure to listen to the whole remix pack from start to finish.
