Crankdat brings light to a ‘Dark Room’ on new melodic dub single

After delivering a barrage of intense dance-floor ready dubstep tracks in the early months of 2020, Crankdat is back to showcase a far more melodic side to his music project. Out now on Monstercat, “Dark Room” is one of Crankdat’s most anticipated tracks of the year and even included his own vocals.

Featuring an array of intense, flowing melodies accompanied by spectacular sound synthesis, Crankdat once again fails to miss with delivering a track that simultaneously wants to make you move while pulling at your emotional core. While the general energy of the track is impeccably uplifting, the subtle tones of anguish comes through the lyrics and overall helps to create a beautifully foreboding sonic universe that contrasts perfectly with the energy that Smith uses for his music project.

Christian Smith, the mastermind behind the Crankdat music project, also shows fans another side of his creativity by creating all of the visual aspects of this release, including a two-minute promotional video that helps build the atmosphere for his new tracks.
