CloZee is doling out the remixes this week in anticipation of her Neon Jungle Remixes album, which is set to land on Friday, October 30. First was Lane 8‘s touch-up of “Neon Jungle,” which came earlier this month as a swap-out remix duty for “Sunday Song” on his Brightest Lights Remixed LP. Then came OPIUO’s re-imagination of “Heya,” which follows up the pair’s spring mid-tempo collaboration and their joint Red Rocks 2020 mix.
So which CloZee favorite would be up for next remix? None other than Of The Trees, of course. The two released his remix of “Perfect” today, along with a picture of them hiking the Colorado mountains on their socials. Of The Trees takes his version of “Perfect” down a winding path of deep low-end bass and heavy synth-grabs. While the original paints a picture of a pleasant daydream through a mystical, imaginary forest, the remixed version takes that forest hike into a heavy psychedelic trip. Still pleasant, nevertheless, although decidedly darker and much more lucid.
Of The Trees’ remix follows CloZee’s remix of his track, “Dream Atlas,” from nearly four years ago. Stay tuned for CloZee’s Neon Jungle Remixes, with more remixes from Emancipator, ilo:ilo, LUZCID, Tripp St., and more.
