Originally hailing from Louisiana, and currently residing in Texas, Brainface is the namesake of Daniel Cumpton. The Dallas-based producer first grabbed our attention when he was featured on Metaphysic‘s podcast, Bass Coast Radio, back in 2018. Then when we got the chance to see him perform live at festivals like Quasar and Nightfall, Brainface solidified himself as a small artist to watch. Look no further than his debut EP, The Unknown, for extreme low-end beats that call on the bass stylings of TRUTH,  The Widdler, and more.

That’s why we’ve asked Cumpton to guest feature for our 5th installment of Electric Consciousness. During the hour-long mix, Brainface delivers an array of new material, unreleased material, strung together by some of his favorite bass artists currently. With a predilection for the extreme low-tempo and gooey, the mix goes into spooky territory just in time for Halloween. Brainface carefully curates a deep, dark, and dangerously low-end, with selections from Digital Mystiks, Tripzy Leary, Chief Kaya, and plenty of his own tracks.
