Beatport ReConnect teams up mental health non-profit on 24-hour virtual music festival, #YouAreNotAlone

Throughout quarantine, Beatport has been a champion of the live stream with its ReConnect series of stay-at-home events. With line-up rosters packed with the world’s top dance music talent, their online music festivals have featured Anna Lunoe, Bob Moses, Claude VonStroke, and so many more. Not only that, the events have raised thousands of dollars for out-of-work music professionals and non-profit charities. Now Beatport ReConnect is teaming up with When The Music Stops, a non-profit focused on depression, anxiety, burnout, and suicide prevention, for a 24-hour-long virtual music festival and conference. The event is dubbed #YouAreNotAlone and it begins tomorrow as part of Beatport’s Global Music Series.

An impressively curated line-up of artists will take to the virtual stage during the virtual event, including Kaskade, Junior Sanchez, Boys Noize, Morgan Page, and Mason Maynard. Additionally, Adam Beyer will go back-to-back with Ida Engberg, along with more stunning performances from LOUISAHHHH, Kevin Knapp, YOUSEF, and many more.

These are trying times for our industry. Now more than ever taking care of ourselves – our minds, our wellbeing and, the wellbeing of others, is truly vital. Mental health has been one of the most talked about topics in our industry for years, and this is a global topic that should continue to be discussed and destigmatized. Everyone at Beatport takes this topic very seriously and will continue to bring visibility to it.

#YouAreNotAlone won’t only feature music, either. How could it with a partnership with an organization named When The Music Stops? Furthering their missions around mental health awareness, the live stream will also offer several educational segments centered around mental health and wellness. Keynote speakers include Tom Middleton, a Breathonics composer and sleep coach, psychotherapist Dr. Aida Vazin, leading breathwork expert Stuart Sandeman, and Silentmode founder Bradley Young. Importantly, the talks will extend to live music artists, featuring conversations with artists like Sacha Robotti and Rebekah.
