Spotify Wrapped is here with fans’ top music in 2020

While 2020 has been a year most would rather soon forget, one undisputed fact is how the music got the world through these morbid times. Swedish music streaming giant, Spotify, knows this as well as anyone. Suffice it to say, their team of music and data gurus have been hunkering down to analyze our yearly streaming stats in the app. The result is another Spotify Wrapped for 2020. The meaurments date back to December 1, 2019, cataloging consumers’ favorite songs and artists, genres, and tracks from the last year down to the minute.

The personalized experience can be found on the Spotify iOS and Android app. This year, the interactive experience now puts listeners to the test with in-app quizzes about their top podcast, artist, and their past decade of music. The Spotify team also curated personalized “Your Top Songs 2020” playlists, which takes users’ 100 top songs on the year and a bonus “Missed Hits” discovery playlist with 100 songs that they may have missed this year but still have time to enjoy. 

Additionally, some Premium users will even be assigned one of three in-app badges: “Tastemaker badge” for gaining a significant amount of followers across various playlists, the “Pioneer badge” for listening to a certain track before it reached 50,000 streams, or the “Collector badge” for adding a significant number of songs to playlists this year.
