deadmau5 teases Portugal. The Man collaboration at Insomniac NYE Drive-In set [WATCH]
After spending the final months of 2020 performing at a number of drive-in raves and shows, EDM’s mouse-headed mascot has proven that even the drastic changes in the music industry is no excuse to slow down the hustle. Performing at a Southern California Drive-In show that was curated by Insomniac Events on New Year’s Eve, deadmau5 decided to treat the crowd with fresh remixes of beloved classics as well as an array of new sonic directions and collaborations. One of these new projects was an unexpected collaboration with Portugal. The Man that features. The dance-able classic house grooves pair surprisingly well with Portugal The Man’s indie-dance energy and together it really feels like a match made in EDM heaven that will be played out for sets to come.
The crowd at San Bernardino’s NOS Event Center was in for a treat as deadmau5 set the stage for the turn of the year. With more collaborations, consistent live-streams, and scheduled festival dates for later on in 2021, the mau5 proves once again that he is dedicated as ever to his craft.
