edIT unleashes ‘Take Your Time’ as the last track ahead of third studio LP release
The Glitch Mob’s edIT has been stepping out on his own recently after nearly a decade since his last solo release and fans of the LA beatmaker couldn’t be more thrilled with the slew of releases. After unveiling “That’s Me Baby,” “Find You,” and “Tonight With You,” edIT now steps up to the plate with “Take Your Time,” the fourth single to come from his next full-length album, Come To Grips.
The track’s title is fully indicative of edIT’s long solo journey, considering 2007’s Certified Air Raid Material was his last LP. If the track is any indication of what to expect from edIT’s third solo album, next week won’t come soon enough. Come To Grips is due out February 26, on edIT’s newly-minted label, Know Truth No Lie.
An astute producer and hip-hop fan, Ma’s propensity for DJing and producing in earnest dates back nearly two decades. In the late 90’s he produced for rappers such as Busdriver, Aloe Blacc, and Sole while holding a residency at Konkrete Jungle, where he embraced his love for drum ‘n’ bass. Come 2004, Ma released his debut solo album, Crying over Pros for No Reason, on influential UK label Planet Mu, and merged his love for hip-hop and drum ‘n’ bass into a collection of brooding and bustling electronic music unlike anything before.
