Skrillex, Four Tet, and Starrah join forces on magnetic new track, ‘Butterflies’

The dubstep legend and OWSLA boss has broken his social media silence with a powerhouse track, tapping familiar faces Four Tet and Starrah for the release.

Almost a year and a series of cryptic social media posts later, Skrillex has finally graced the EDM community with new material, and fans might attest it was worth the wait. Continuing the famed producer’s modern sound, “Butterflies” is a sparkly track that leans more towards his recent house-infused “Kliptown Empyrean” than his “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites” roots.

While the track marks the first release Skrillex and Four Tet have collaborated on, the two have been spotted sharing the stage for B2B performances on numerous occasions. “Butterflies” isn’t first time Skrillex and Starrah have joined forces, either- he was featured on the R&B star’s critically acclaimed debut album The Longest Interlude, for which he boasts production credits alongside James Blake, Nile Rodgers, and more.
