MeSo, M0L0KAI, Dank Frank, more to grace Texas with state’s first-ever SpicyBois takeover
What else can one say about the SpicyBois other than to recognize that the experimental bass crew has been taking over the underground bass world one set at a time? Beginning with humble roots in Chicago under helmer MeSo, this underground music collective and label is chocked full of rich personalities and artists who dabble in everything from heavy experimental to hip-hop influenced bass music.
Between pop-up festival sets and playing in seedy underground club circuits, the SpicyBois have been spreading their missions and sounds far and wide one state at a time. Founder MeSo even previously stated one of his goals was to host more official SpicyBois takeovers moving forward:
“I originally made Spicy Bois with a goal to offer talented artists a platform where they could share their music and be heard. A short term goal for 2020 is to be able to curate Spicy Bois takeovers or even stages for the upcoming festival season.”

While 202 was an all-around flop for live events, seems as if the labelhead is getting his wish in 2021. Now the SpicyBois crew make their debut in Texas, touching down in Houston Friday, July 2 via Live Impact Events. With MeSo headlining the one-night-only event, fans can expect to see M0L0KAI, yojas., CVPTVGON, Dank Frank, and special guest Cymek. Tickets are expected to go fast, so be sure to grab yours here.
