Flume returns with PinkPantheress remix, previews first original track of 2022

Just like that, Flume season has returned.

The Australian music maven has just surprised yet again with a brand new remix of PinkPantheress‘ “Noticed I cried.” Flume‘s drum-n-bass reimagination arrives with 25 additional remixed tracks alongside fellow artists such as FKJ, Sam Gellaitry, and more. However, the one-off remix is only the tip of the iceberg for Flume fans all over the world.

In addition, Flume has announced a brand new single called “Say Nothing,” featuring MAY-A, which sees its world premiere on Wednesday, February 2, 5:00 pm ET / 2:00 pm PT. Landing as Flume’s first original release since 2020, the joint will premiere via YouTube Music, along with an official live Q&A.

Many have suspected that it likely marks the beginning of a new album rollout, especially since Flume teased a short video on New Year’s Eve that featured a rumored collaboration with Gorillaz frontman, Damon Albarn. Albarn even confirmed that the two were working together back in 2019 when he sat down for an interview with Beats1.

With the clues beginning to piece together one-by-one, as is usually the case with the cryptic Aussie producer, it’s looking like the projection is a new potential Flume album right in time for his Coachella appearance in the spring. All signs point to the new single landing as the first piece of Flume’s highly-anticipated fourth studio album. Only time will tell.

In the meantime, be sure to stream Flume’s remix of PinkPantheress’ “Notice I cried.”
