Axwell Λ Ingrosso seem to confirm a Swedish House Mafia 2019 tour to a crowd in NYC [WATCH]

Over Memorial Day Weekend, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso played New York City’s Brooklyn Mirage. The Swedish superstar duo, who formed their joint Axwell Λ Ingrosso venture upon Swedish House Mafia‘s split in 2014, played to a sold-out crowd packed to the brim with plenty of Swedish House Mafia diehards.

During the set’s closing moments, Axwell took to the microphone to hype the crowd over a Swedish House Mafia tour planned for 2019. The pair then went on to play “Don’t You Worry Child” over Alesso’s “If I Lose Myself” to cap off their set.

“What do we do now? This is a big move. This has never happened before.  Should we cancel the Swedish House Mafia gig we’re planning next year? We are not sure they are ready for Swedish House Mafia in 2019.”

Axwell’s statement over the mic as of now remains a tantalizing tease, though even just a small taste of Swedish House hype satiated the roaring crowd. Following the trio’s historic reunion at Ultra Music Festival in March, a full fledged reassembly with Steve Angello may be imminent.

Of course, rumored plans of a reunion tour have been circulating since the trio reunited at Ultra‘s 20th Anniversary. Whether it’s the cryptic Tomorrowland teaser or the fact that the group recently wiped their Instagram account, speculation hasn’t halted since Ultra. Though considering the last time Axwell addressed the group’s status with, “we’re Swedish House Mafia for good this time,” now rumors are now beginning to look increasingly like facts.
