Before Avicii‘s untimely passing, the 28-year-old Swedish superstar had been planning to release another EP in his Avīci series, along with another full-length album. According to sources close to Tim Bergling, he had nearly 200 songs completed and ready for release.

Now, according to a Swedish source, Aftonbladet, a new Avicii album is imminent and will arrive with his family’s blessing.

Geffen Records president Neil Jacobson sat down with Variety following Avicii’s passing, just days before his family alluded to the producer’s death as a suicide. Jacobson revealed that while plans for a potential album release were up in the air, the record collection was Avicii’s “best music in years.”

“I’m going to sit down and talk to the family once everybody has a chance to take a breath,” he said. “I’ve never actually had this happen with an artist I’ve worked with before and this closely. So, I don’t know.”

As the Swedish magazine goes on to report, “Bergling’s family has now met with the late producer’s record company and agreed that a record of previously released music will come later this year.”

More details on the album release to come as information becomes available.
