SHADES releases heavy debut album, announce accompanying tour dates for ‘In Praise of Darkness’
Shades, the collaborative project of Alix Perez and Eprom, have taken a big step together as a duo this year. Finally, the fruits of their labor have manifested in a 12-track album, titled In Praise of Darkness.
The duo’s debut LP has officially been released on Deadbeats Records to much critical and fan acclaim. Having been referred to as “groundbreaking bass music” by artists in the same genre, the pair’s new LP comes chocked full of gravity-distorting experimental bass and head-turning percussive cuts.
In addition to the new LP, Shades has announced an album-accompanying tour across North America this summer. Tsuruda and Huxley Anne will support them on select stops. With more dates to be added, the ‘In Praise of Darkness’ tour will take the pair to clubs all across North America in July, with things kicking off in Chicago and ostensibly ending in Brooklyn.
