Welcome to the world’s first blockchain powered music festival, featuring ZEDD, 3LAU, Big Sean + more
In 2010, when Bitcoin launched the idea of de-centralized digital currency, all signs pointed to the apocalypse. Flash forward to 2018 and consumers are now purchasing almost everything with some form of cryptocurrency.
So why should music festival tickets be any different?
This is how 3LAU sees it, anyway; which inspired the progressive house juggernaut to team with Prime Social Group and blockchain entertainment studio SingularDTV to launch the world’s first-ever blockchain-powered, cryptocurrency-based music festival.
Welcome to the future!
Our Music Festival (OMF) is set to take place in San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza on October 20. The festival has now revealed it’s debut lineup, with ZEDD topping the bill, along with 3LAU, Big Sean, Matt & Kim, and Charlotte Lawrence.
At OMF, festival-attendees can earn crypto-currency (OMF tokens) by participating in the event’s community; which includes buying tickets, VIP upgrades, exclusive access, buying merchandize, concessions, and more. By empowering fans to contribute to the festival’s ecosystem via their purchasing patterns, festival organizers hope to put the power back into the hands of the consumer.
