Bassnectar continues EP roll out with remix of Rusko’s ‘High’

Bassnectar is continuing to roll out new tracks off the third part in his Reflective EP series. After releasing “Heavyweight Sound” along with the full track list for Reflective (Part 3), Bassnectar has delivered on another track from the impending EP in Rusko‘s “High.” The track was originally released on Rusko’s highly-anticipated Has Made Five More Songs EP, which saw a delayed release due to the UK dubstep producer’s year-long bout with cancer. Then, more recently, “High” was featured as part of Flux Pavilion‘s Earwax compilation.

The Bassnectar cut of the track, which features catchy vocals over Rusko’s signature unyielding beat work, still spotlights both producer’s styles while turning the original into a textured, low end, melodic masterpiece. The Bay Area producer has a special connection to Rusko’s original, calling it an “anthem of healing” on his Twitter page.

The third installation of the Reflective series arrives August 24. One can bet the bass music demigod will be showcasing the entire new project during his upcoming Labor Day event, BassCenter XI.
