Brasstracks release soulful new single, ‘Too Far, Too Fast’

Coming off an incredible performance at Shambhala Music Festival, Brasstracks have just unleashed a new single in anticipation of their forthcoming EP, For Those Who Know Part II. As the second track to arrive off the two-part project, “Too Far, Too Fast” is a groovy summer ballad featuring the vocals of NYC-based pop trio Thirdstory.

It’s a track that perfectly encapsulates the duo’s newfound sound. Departing from their horn-centric dance covers that earned them initial popularity, Brasstracks have progressed towards a R&B-infused funk direction, with a soulful vibe and underlying hip-hop influence running throughout the new EP series.

For Those Who Know Part II lands on August 24, and will feature Robert Glasper, S’natra, Xavier Omär, and Thirdstory. Shortly thereafter, Basstracks will be embarking on their west coast tour, “For Those Who Missed It,” which will run through September.
