Awake 2.0 mainstay? KJ Sakwa to join Illenium’s live act at Lost Lands 2018

With Lost Lands officially opening it’s gates today, plenty of surprise announcements and happenings are sure to follow over the course of the weekend. The Excision special-curated event is a massive dino-themed throw down featuring the best of the best in the bass music world.

Returning from a wildly popular solo main stage performance in 2017 is melodic bass extraordinaire Illenium, whose live act has been mesmerizing large festival crowds all year long from Coachella to Lollapalooza. The Denver-based artist recently took to Twitter to express his gratitude over Lost Lands slating him for the Saturday night closing slot.

Illenium just came off a sold-out headlining show at Red Rocks, where his live act saw the addition of KJ Sawka, former drummer for Destroid and Pendulum, joining the Awake 2.0 Live Band experience. Yet, questions remained over whether the superstar appearance was a one-time special treat or a long-term gig for the EDM’s most recognized drummer. KJ Sawka may have put those speculations to bed in a tweet stating that he would be joining Illenium and illGates for two of four total performances throughout the weekend.

Illenium’s live sets are already a sight to behold, but with KJ Sawka in the rotation, Awake 2.0 is becoming a must-see act of the year. Awake 2.0 also features Said The Sky, Trivecta, Bass Physics, and Toy Box.

For those unable to make it to Thornville, Ohio for Lost Lands 2018, a live stream will be taking place all weekend long over Couchlands 2018 on Facebook.
