Listen to Of The Trees’ latest mind-altering EP, ‘Harvest’
Tyler Coombs is one name in bass music who ought to be on everyone’s radar. The Maine native who masquerades in his moniker, Of The Trees, has been collaborating with everyone from Zebbler Encanti Experience to Mr. Bill and Toadface. He’s also been remixed by the likes of Bassnectar and CloZee, while simultaneously releasing music on Liquid Stranger’s Wakaan imprint as well as Psymbionic’s Gravitas Recordings.
He’s also been quite busy on road in support of DMVU‘s Tour de Excellence, and yet has still found time to release his next EP. The 4-track project, which arrives two years after his full-length Dream Atlas LP, is a high-caliber collection of mind-altering bass tracks. Filled to the brim with swampy textures and mid-range frequencies, the EP touches on elements of dubstep, trap, and hip-hop and places them into connection with organic, world-inspired samples. The result is cohesive storyline of where Coombs has been and where he is going.
