DJ Snake makes Spotify history as fifth artist to amass one billion streams
Few electronic dance music artists have shared the level of success that’s been afforded to DJ Snake. With viral hits in “Get Low,” “Turn Down For What,” “Lean On,” “Let Me Love You,” the French music producer ranked 13th in Forbes’ annual list of the “World’s Highest-Paid DJs,” raking in a cool $11 million in 2018.
Now DJ Snake can lay claim to another astounding record: His 2016 hit, “Let Me Love You” with Justin Bieber, reached one billion streams on Spotify. It’s an achievement that allows him to join the ranks of Drake, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, and The Chainsmokers insofar as he’s now the fifth artist in Spotify history to have earned as many streams on two songs. He initially reached the billion-stream mark with his 2015 collaboration with Major Lazer, “Lean On” ft. MØ.
