Illenium teases heavy new VIP treatment of Flume’s ‘Say It’
It’s been two years since Illenium first released his monumental remix of Flume’s “Say It.” After garnering over 22 million streams on SoundCloud, the Denver-based artist is switching things up a bit while out on the road during his Awake 2.0 tour. Recently, the artist took to his Instagram to reveal a 2.0 version of the track that’s packed with explosive percussion and distorted bass.
While the original remix remains focused on the melodic, with an emphasis on soaring, percussive-led drops, Illenium seems to be taking a turn toward the heavy experimental trap terrain that is reminiscent of 1788-L‘s heavy sound. One can only hope that Illenium’s latest tease of the track means an official VIP version is in the works.
