Marshmello wins MTV EMA for Best Electronic Artist, performs live with Anne-Marie & Bastille

In a further move securing his global name sake, Marshmello has cleaned up nicely tonight at the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards. Not only did the kitschy pop producer beat out The ChainsmokersDavid Guetta, and Martin Garrix to take home the “Best Electronic” award, he played a double header on two of his most popular radio hits.

The enigmatic bucket head was invited to perform a live mash-up performance of his chart-topping singles with Anne-Marie and Bastille. Taking to the piano tonight, he performed “Friends” before switching it up quickly onto the drum pads to assist Bastille on the drum pads for “Happier. The latter of which previously reached 1 billion views on YouTube.

It seems Marshmello is hitting his peak this year. He’s coming off a recent win for “Favorite EDM Artist” at the 2018 AMAs, cracked the top ten of DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list, and ranked fifth on Forbes list of highest paid DJs in 2018.
