Nero release their first track in two years on ‘Ninjawerks’ compilation
It seems Nero‘s previous cryptic teaser was pointing to the release of their contribution to Astralwerks‘ ongoing Nijawerks compilation roll out. The track, titled “Lullaby,” follows singles from Tycho, 3lau, and Alesso on the first-of-its-kind gaming soundtrack. It also marks the first track from the three-piece dance act in over two years.
The track features all the great things about Nero, specifically Alana Watson’s decadent echoing vocals. But “Lullaby” is set against a much more mellow sonic terrain than we’re used to seeing from the dubstep/electro/DnB trio. The UK dance titans also get a nice comic illustration of their iconic style, which just reinforces just how pervasive their look has become.
World class gamer, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, continues to showcase the range of his clout in the electronic music community by enlisting the world’s top dance producers — and in this case, summoning them out of hibernation. Ninjawerks Volume 1 will be available in digital, CD, and vinyl formats on December 14. Be on the lookout for the compilation’s next release from Kaskade, coming this Friday, November 7..
