Newly-launched Insomniac Music Group to offer label services to independent imprints

Festival enthusiasts know Insomniac as the brains behind Electric Daisy Carnival, Nocturnal Wonderland, Beyond Wonderland, Electric Forest, Middlelands, and more. The US-based company has extended its cultural footprint into other countries with EDC Japan, EDC China, EDC Mexico, and the recent merger with Dutch promotion company, Alda. So to music consumers, Insomniac is beginning to look like the Disney of electronic dance music.

But the Pasquale Rotella-headed company’s reach runs much deeper than live music. Beyond operating its very own label, Insomniac Records has birthed many offshoot labels, including Bassrush, HARD Recs, IN / ROTATION, Dreamstate Records, and the Discovery Project.

Now the company introduces Insomniac Music Group, whose mission is to offer distribution and management resources for independent labels. As an arm of Insomniac Records, it extends its label services to help with Chris Lake’s Black Book Records, Fisher’s Catch & Release, and NGHTMRE and SLANDER’s Gud Vibrations.

“Having been one of the first partners to back our Gud Vibrations events… Insomniac has been instrumental in the growth of NGHTMRE and SLANDER’s touring business,” manager Steve Haddad stated in a press release. He continues,

“It was an obvious choice for us to work with them on the new label. The entire Insomniac Music Group team has been a pleasure to work with…, allowing us to focus on A&R and the other creative elements of our label.”
