REZZ and Blanke release highly-anticipated collaborative single, ‘Mixed Signals’
When REZZ hosted her inaugural REZZ ROCKS event this past summer, it was a night in which cult history was made. It was also a night REZZ dropped a bomb on the crowd in the form of an unreleased ID. The crowd was left hypnotized and the internet was in a frenzy over the recording.
Today that ID sees its formal release in “Mixed Signals,” a collaborative effort with Canberra-based producer Blanke. The sci-fi inspired single begins with soft digital coding samples before an immersive bass line takes hold. After building to the song’s first drop via REZZ’s hypnotizing chord progressions, jet-liner lift-off samples take into a glitched-out terrain where they are safe to blast off and get down.
Blanke himself had quite the year with his songs played out on the world’s largest festival stages at Ultra Miami, EDC Las Vegas, Shambhala, Coachella. Receiving support from the likes of marshmello, Jauz, Slushii, Yellow Claw, Illenium, and Steve Aoki, he is certainly one artist to watch in 2019.
