Illenium slated to make his Madison Square Garden debut in 2019
This past weekend, Illenium wrapped a consecutive three-night run at New York City’s Terminal 5. The event was originally slated for two nights, with third show was added due to the sheer demand of the Awake producer inside the Big Apple. How fitting then that he concluded his December 14 show with a very special announcement to his crowd of Illenials, who no doubt traveled far and wide for the event.
“Yo, I got some news today that I’m not really supposed to tell anybody, but I really want to tell you,” Illenium told the crowd. “I’m coming back next year and playing Madison Square Garden.”
Illenium’s Madison Square Garden (MSG) debut will mark his largest solo billing to date, placing him in the ranks of Bassnectar, LCD Soundsystem, Jack Ü, and Swedish House Mafia, who’ve all played the coveted arena.
Due to the premature nature of Illenium’s announcement, no date(s) have been given for his debut MSG performance. However, the sheer booking itself is evidence that Illenium’s glorified rise to superstardom has not yet come even close to reaching its peak.
