GRiZ just wrapped his fifth annual 12 Days of GRiZMAS event this past weekend and, boy oh boy, was it an event of good tidings and holiday cheer. The twelve days of giving back featured some yuletide caroling, community service, yoga, bowling, workshops, and culminated with two sold-out GRiZ performances inside Detroit’s Masonic Temple.

Night one featured the powerhouse 15-piece GRiZ Live Band, with GRiZ taking over the decks for a more traditional set on night two. For those who weren’t able to attend, there are plenty of fan-recorded videos of the two-night affair popping up all across the internet.

In addition to premiering an unreleased single with funk legend Bootsy Collins, titled “Bustin’ Out” (see first video below), GRiZ also brought out Matisyahu for a very special performance of “Gotta Push On” (see sixth video). The live band also performed a stunning rendition of the recently released DRAM-assisted track, “It Gets Better” (see second video), which is expected to be out on GRiZ’s forthcoming album sometime in 2019.
