Ja Rule is planning a Fyre Festival follow-up: ‘its the most iconic festival that never was’
As the Fyre Saga continues to blaze on in the aftermath of the festival’s epic burn out, former partner Ja Rule was stopped recently by TMZ inside LAX International Airport. The rapper-turned-app developer/festival promoter was surprisingly calm and humble in the interview, as opposed to his recent public reactions.
“I too was hustled, scammed, bamboozled, hood winked, lead astray,” says the New York rapper.
While his serial fraudster partner is currently serving a six-year prison sentence, Ja Rule is hard at work with his own new venture similar to Fyre Media‘s app. It’s called ICONN, and it connects promoters and bookers with high profile talent for private events.
“In the midst of chaos is opportunity. I’m plugged into a lot of new things,” Ja Rule told TMZ. “[Fyre] is most iconic festival that never was. I have plans to create the iconic music festival, but you didn’t hear it from me.”
